Denver, CO
The Denver project is the first of its size and profile in a freeze-thaw environment. Snow melts faster on pervious pavement because the air in the system is warmer than the air above the ground. Since the melted snow drains through, there is no surface water freezing at night thus creating a safer surface for customers.

Aurora, CO
Walmart designers worked to design 19 different concrete and asphalt pavements for the 13.89 acres of site paving at their experimental store in Aurora, CO. PCI installed the pervious concrete test section that allowed water to pass into the soil thus reducing offsite runoff and winter de-icing.
